Attractions near the Fairplex
Every year thousands of visitors flock to the Fairplex in Pomona, California to attend their legendary fair and enjoy all it has to offer. Travelers will find plenty of other attractions in the area for added fun also.
Located on the premises of the Fairplex, but still part of activity year-round is The Millard Sheets Center for the Arts. Several temporary exhibits and events are held here for those who enjoy art.
One of the most versatile attractions in the area is The NHRA Motorsports Museum, featuring exhibits to entertain visitors of all ages. The museum focuses on the history of motor sports, with a large collection of vintage racing vehicles, memorabilia, uniforms, paintings and various other artifacts. Also near the Fairplex is Pioneer Waterland in San Dimas. This park is a great destination for families offering a 3-acre swimming pool. Several miles north of the Fairplex area is The Angeles National Forest. For a scenic drive or to enjoy hiking, visitors may drive along Highway 39 which travels past two reservoirs and acres of aromatic forest greenery.
Depending on the distance visitors are willing to travel, there are plenty of other attractions in the area, including several scenic state parks. Pomona is located 30 miles east of Los Angeles.
